Da Vinci Engineered Artist Talk
A series of talks by exhibiting artists in association with BAE Systems and University of Hull
Ruth Levene will discuss work from her Hidden Waters series with Liz Sharp, Senior Lecturer in Environmental Planning and Governance
and a member of the Pennine Water Group at the University of Sheffield. By working with engineers, Ruth Levene has mapped the river networks and buried infrastructure to create a series of prints that explore Yorkshire’s natural and manmade water systems. This conversation will ask what it means to engineer something by questioning how the systems and infrastructure we weave our lives around help to shape our understanding of the world.
The work was made during a residency with Pennine Water Group and Faculty of Engineering at the University in Sheffield.
