Acclaimed musician and songwriter Amanda Lowe has written ten songs exploring the life and achievements of Amy Johnson. The song cycle covers Amy’s adventures and incredible achievements in aviation, her rise to celebrity status, her love life and her untimely death.

Amanda’s song writing process is available to all by visiting a project blog at www. amyjohnsonsongcycle.wordpress.com where details can be found of how to submit films in response to the songs. She will be performing 

a selection from the song cycle at the Festival on Saturday 16 July as part of Hull Folk Festival.
