Clare Huby, who project managed the award-winning and highly successful ’Larkin with Toads’ public art project, is to advise Amy Johnson Festival on ‘A Moth for Amy’. ‘Larkin with Toads’ was part of the 2010 Larkin25 programme commemorating the life and work of poet and librarian, Philip Larkin. The 40 artist decorated fibreglass toads stole the hearts of Hull people and still attract visitors to the city five years later. Commenting on her appointment, Clare said “’A Moth for Amy’ is a challenging project with international ambitions. I’m really excited about the way it connects with Amy’s amazing solo flight to Australia. I can’t wait to see these enormous colourful moths alighting on buildings in Hull, around England and perhaps as far as Darwin.” Clare@amyjohnsonfestival.co.uk
