Design Description

I work in a care home for the elderly where once a week I teach painting. One sunny day one of my pupils – she was 90 years old – and I visited the local graveyard to look at the abundance of wild flowers. Whilst there we looked up and the sky was filled with the most elaborate vapour trails from an acrobatic jet and we wondered why?

Artist Statement

From the above story I made a large screen print which I have adapted for my moth design. I am an artist/maker living in rural Wales. My work is textile-based either through screen printing or felt-making. I am inspired by birds, pattern and colour.
