Design Description

‘The Lone Girl Flyer’ pay homage to Amy Johnson’s Gipsy Moth aircraft and the South East Asian leg of her famous fight to Australia. My design is influenced by the Giant Atlas Moth, which is only found in this region. My design features inscribings in Hindi. When translated it reads: Amy Johnson. The Lone Girl Flyer

Artist Statement

Emma is an artist, actor and photographer based in Manchester. She specialises in fine art and sculpture as well as making puppets or theatre and stage. She has always held a fascination with the natural world and spends most of her free time outside searching for the next project.
