Design Description

Pioneering Women is a celebration of Amy and a selection of other trailblazing and influential women throughout history. The design focuses on portraits of these inspiring women using character illustrations and text design to highlight their diversity and achievements. The layout also nods to 1930s Art Deco patterns in homage to Amy.

Artist Statement

Laura is a Bristol base artist and illustrator with a passion for illustrating narrative fiction, children’s books, maps and vintage fashions and trends. She is also very inspired by social and political history. Laura has previously designed and painted large scale public art pieces for Birmingham’s ‘The Big Hoot’ and Sheffield’s ‘Meadowhall Hearts’.
