Orchid: Vibrancy & Resilience
Orchid: Vibrancy & Resilience
Artist – Caroline Greyling
Design Description
For this design I drew inspiration from Amy Johnson’s stop in Singapore during her famous solo England- Australia flight in 1930. I lived in Singapore while growing up and have always had a deep connection to the country. The orchid has long been associated with Singapore and has become a symbol of the country, and it’s national flower. The national orchid, the “Vanda Miss Joaquim” symbolizes the vibrancy, resilience, and unique hybrid culture of Singapore.
